Rare Characters You Can Meet RIGHT Now in Disney World

Spring is such a great time to visit Disney World. You get to see all the flowers in bloom and the beautiful topiaries (and eat all the food) at the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival. Special Easter displays are available to see at Disney World hotels, and spring snacks are available almost everywhere.

However, one of our favorite parts of spring in Disney World is a meet and greet with two VERY rare characters. They’re so rare that you only get to see them for a limited time each year. We’re happy to confirm that Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny are now meeting with guests in Magic Kingdom.

The Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom is pretty iconic, and we are letting you in on one secret to this beloved ride.

Located in Liberty Square, this iconic attraction invites guests to hop aboard a Doom Buggy and journey through the mysterious rooms and eerie grounds of the mansion. Inside, 999 Happy Haunts are waiting to greet visitors — and as they love to remind everyone, “There’s always room for one more!” Just like many attractions across Disney World, the Haunted Mansion is filled with clever details and hidden touches. One fun example? Some of the mansion’s stone turrets are actually designed to resemble chess pieces!

Of course, noticing those hidden details is only part of the fun. While you might joke about becoming the mansion’s 1,000th resident, there’s also a way for guests to dive even deeper into the story by channeling their inner detective and solving a mystery of their own.

Another new permit was just filed for work to be done in Magic Kingdom! We are always on the lookout for Disney news, and it seems that even more work is planned for the area near the Haunted Mansion.

Dear Disney: Please Don’t Fumble the Cars Land Mega Expansion

There is nothing more exciting than a brand-new land in Magic Kingdom.

Disney has officially announced that Frontierland is getting a massive Cars Land-inspired expansion called Piston Peak, and it’s already shaping up to be one of the biggest changes the park has seen in years. We’re talking two brand-new rides, a totally reimagined landscape, and even a geyser called Old Tankful. But here’s the thing: as excited as we are, we’re also nervous. Disney, please don’t fumble this. We’ve seen how game-changing lands can be when Imagineers absolutely nail it (Pandora, Galaxy’s Edge), but we’ve also seen how a highly hyped area can leave guests feeling underwhelmed if things don’t quite land the way we hoped.
