It has some great restaurants, and it is in close proximity to the Magic Kingdom. While there is a lot to love about the resort, it might not be in every guest’s budget. We got so many updates, ranging from major closures to summer Disney World deals and special offerings. With that said, the announcement revolving around the RETURN of a beloved hotel restaurant experience literally took our breath away! Pull up a chair, grab a pastry, and get ready for some major Disney dining news — we’re spilling the tea on the long-awaited return of the Garden View Lounge — Tea Room Experience!
We have been waiting for YEARS for the return of Disney’s Grand Floridian Tea Room, and it is almmooost time! The Garden View Lounge at the Grand Floridian will officially be reopening on March 19th, 2026. The tea room has been closed ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are so excited that it is finally returning. Earlier this month, Disney announced the official reopening date and gave us a peek at the new menu and prices.

When we were at the Grand Floridian recently, we noticed that the construction walls around the Garden View Lounge had come down. There was a rope up at the entrance, but we were able to get a peek inside the refurbished restaurant! Now we are getting even more excited for the reopening of this experience.
