Another day, another Disney World construction update! The Orlando resort is changing a lot these days with some major updates coming to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios.

They’re also working on expanding their hotel offerings by adding another resort, called Disney Lakeshore Lodge! We’ve been tracking the hotel’s progress since it was first announced and now we’re back with more updates.

It’s been a hot minute since Disney World opened a new hotel, but that’s about to change with Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge. Nestled between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness, this new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) hotel will offer lake views, rustic elegance, and a whole new style of lodging at Disney World that already has us super giddy. But will it really open on time in 2027?

Heads up, Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members: Disney has announced that it’s extending the operating hours of Magic Kingdom’s newest DVC lounge.
McKim’s Mile House
Located in the Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland, McKim’s Mile House will now be open from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM each day, two hours longer than its previous 6:00 PM closure.

Disney Vacation Club Members receive a yearly allotment of Vacation Points (after buying into the program) based on “the size of the real estate interest” of their “Home” Disney Vacation Club Resort. Members can then use their Vacation Points to book their vacations! If you’re a DVC Member — or are thinking about joining — here’s what you need to know about the 2027 points charts.

A brand-new seasonal surprise has arrived at EPCOT, and it will have Disney fans buzzing… especially those who love a little “members-only” magic.
