We’re looking forward to the coming week in Magic Kingdom!
One of Magic Kingdom’s most popular and iconic rides will FINALLY be reopening. Get ready for tons of puns, the back side of water, and loads of jungle animals on a cruise down the Nile and other famous rivers of the world. Other than this reopening, though, Disney World still has several closures. Take a peek at what will be closed during your vacation on the week of October 12th through October 19th.
If you are in the early stages of planning your Disney World vacation, we know that this can be a super exciting yet very overwhelming time.
One of the very first things you will need to decide is WHEN you will be going to Disney World. There are 365 days to choose from each year, so there is no lack of options, but we are here to help you with some dates you will want to consider!
Okay, Disney World is constantly changing, and that’s often a good thing.
For example, we’re totally okay with all the NEW stuff coming to the parks (even if we’re a little sad about losing part of Magic Kingdom for new additions). We’re also excited when new restaurants get closer to opening and new snacks turn up. However, we get nervous when we see our favorite snacks go through changes. Now, we have to face a NEW change with a classic Disney hotel snack — we’re sure it’s okay, though. Right? IT WILL BE OKAY, RIGHT?
You’ve no go time to waste! Target Circle Week is almost over!
We’re always so excited to share savings on all our favorite Disney World essentials and other items. And this time, we’re making sure you don’t miss out on any of the latest deals, especially since Target Circle Weekends TODAY!
The My Disney Experience app is a fantastic tool to help you plan your Disney World vacation both before you arrive and while you’re in the parks.
Not only can you use your hotel key right on your app, but you can also book your Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass selections seven days in advance of your trip when you’re a hotel guest or three days in advance for all others. However, we ran into an issue recently when one of our team members was trying to pre-book their Lightning Lanes. We have the solution that you need to know about!
You all know we LOVE our Disney Dole Whip treats.
The creamy, fruity ice cream dessert hits the spot on all our Disney trips. You can grab several varieties of the treat at multiple locations at the Disney parks. One of the most popular spots to pick up a Dole Whip snack in Disneyland is at The Tropical Hideaway, and now we have a fun announcement to share about this counter service location and a tasty pizza and pasta joint that will make your next trip a little easier!
Hey, Netflix, we have a bone to pick with you.
Netflix has spent the past year axing a LOT of shows, many of which only had the opportunity to get one season. As frustrating as this is, many of these shows also seemed pretty popular, leaving folks confused as to why Netflix has decided to cancel them. Well, two MORE popular shows on the streaming service just got the axe, too, and again, we’re left scratching our heads over the decision.
Hurricane Milton has come and gone through Disney World.
The powerful storm ripped through Florida, causing several businesses, hotels, and theme parks, including Disney World, to close. The four parks and Typhoon Lagoon closed on October 9th as the hurricane barreled through the area and on October 10th as crews worked to clean up the debris and damage. (Blizzard Beach remained closed due to planned refurbishment.) However, it wasn’t just the parks and water park that were closed for the hurricane, and while the four theme parks reopened on October 11th, some areas have remained closed.
Okay, so we might be big fans of Disney food, but we won’t lie, we love McDonald’s, too.
We also love when McDonald’s tries new things, like that whole Cosmic Mc’s location that we also just HAD to try out. We’re also trying out new snacks when they release at McD’s, but this time, we’re super excited to try a sandwich that’s finally made it to the U.S. after debuting internationally. It’s the Chicken Big Mac…and let’s just say we have some thoughts about it.
