Although we focus mostly on Disney food, our whole team just, well, loves food, in general!
So you’ll occasionally hear us talk about things like White Castle (and FOR GOOD REASON), Portillo’s, and yes, even McDonald’s (mostly because we want to get our hands on those Disney Happy Meals). So speaking of McDonald’s, we just have to share something with you because, well, it needed to be shared. How do you feel about a Chicken Big Mac?
So here’s the thing. McDonald’s in the U.K. have already been trying out the Chicken Big Mac, but now, according to The Washington Post, McDonald’s is going to test it in the U.S.. The U.K. version is made with two crispy chicken patties, a slice of cheese, lettuce, pickles, and that classic Big Mac sauce. We’re not sure if the U.S. version will be the same, but it’s likely.
We mean…maybe it’s good? There’s been quite a war among fast food restaurants over the past few years over the mighty chicken sandwich, so maybe this is a progression of that.
In an email, McDonald’s wrote: “While not everything we test makes it on our U.S. menus, we’ll use this time to gather feedback from both customers and restaurant crew as we consider opportunities to offer more delicious options in the future.”
McDonald’s will be testing the sandwich in select locations at the end of the month, so keep an eye out for it! We’ll certainly be doing the same and if we can get our hands on it, we might just grab it to review it for you! In the meantime, dear McDonald’s, if we’re getting some of those U.K. menu items, can we get the Halloumi Fries, too? Because we are ALL about some cheese sticks.
Did you know there’s a McDonald’s on Disney property? Did you know it’s solar-powered? If you find yourself craving those French fries or want to pick up a Disney Happy Meal IN DISNEY WORLD, be sure to drop by! You’ll find it near Disney’s All-Star Resorts!
Of course, you can always order food via food delivery services like GrubHub, Door Dash, and Uber Eats, too — but, in the past, we’ve had some long waits to get our hands on food that way.
