We’ve been noticing quite a few changes at the value resort, but it seems like it’s FINALLY all coming together.
Disney World has SO many different hotels you can stay at on your trip, but if you’re looking for a place you can stay on a budget, you’ll likely choose a Value Resort.
Disney’s Pop Century Resort
Value Resorts are some of the largest Disney World hotels and are located furthest from the parks, but complimentary transportation is available to get you where you need to go, just like with all other Disney World hotels. One of our personal favorites is Pop Century Resort, especially thanks to its access to the Skyliner. But if we’re being honest, you REALLY need to avoid it this year.
The Skyliner at Disney World can be one of the most reliable modes of transportation on the property, but that doesn’t mean it is without faults.
Riviera Resort Skyliner
Going back to your resort at the end of a long park day can be exhausting, and sometimes, you just want to sit back and relax with your feet up on your ride home. If you’re looking for a quieter experience, here are four times you might want to skip the Skyliner and use a different method to get home.
Staying at Disney World hotels provides numerous perks that can help make your vacation better! For example, you can take advantage of a complimentary day at a Disney World water park on your check-in day, enjoy extra time in the park with Early Entry, and get free parking at the theme parks.
Disney’s Riviera Resort
Another big perk is taking advantage of complimentary Disney World transportation. This transportation can pretty much get you anywhere you want to go on Disney World property and includes a network of boats, buses, monorails, and the Skyliner. However, one Disney World hotel’s transportation options have decreased.
Your Mickey ears are packed, and your plane ticket is booked. Now, all you need to worry about is your hotel’s pool closure. Wait — our hotel pool is closed??

A lot is coming to Disney World in the upcoming years! Some things, such as the Pirates of the Caribbean lounge, the reopening of Test Track, and the new DVC lounge, will be coming in 2025!
Test Track
We will need to wait a bit for others, such as the new Tropical Americas-themed land, Pueblo Esperanza, and the reopening of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. However, we spotted some exciting news this week about two attractions that are currently closed in Disney World!
It seems to be the time for construction in Disney World! There are lots of construction walls all over Disney World, including in the closed area of DinoLand U.S.A.
This just doesn’t feel right!
The DinoLand U.S.A. closures began on January 13th, 2025, with the closures of TriceraTop Spin, Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, and Fossil Fun Game. We were sad when the construction walls went up, and we are also feeling some type of way seeing the progress on TriceraTop Spin.
A NEW Disney World hotel location has been added to the list of closures.
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
The list of closures has been growing recently, including the addition of many attractions and numerous hotel pools that closed in January. Well, another Disney World hotel location is joining the list of closures this week!

Disney World is undergoing a lot of changes, like Big Thunder Mountain’s lengthy refurbishment, the Muppets are leaving their courtyard, and Animal Kingdom is in the early stages of a BIG makeover! But we’ve got some good news about the construction walls in Disney World — one major hotel change is finally complete, and we’re checking it out today.
Several Disney World attractions remain closed this week at the parks, but some favorite areas to lounge at several hotels are also unavailable to guests.
Stormalong Bay
This week, four hotel pools and two hotel pool bars will be closed for refurbishment. These seasonal closures don’t usually last long, and they will most likely be reopened by the spring and summer. You can find out which hotel pools and park attractions will be closed this week below!
