It is officially 2025, which means Disney World’s newest hotel perk has finally debuted!
It has been a long time coming, but those with upcoming 2025 Disney World vacations can take advantage of a brand new free water park perk! Here is everything you need to know!
There are a lot of benefits when choosing to stay at a Disney World hotel during your vacation. Besides being closer to all the magic that Disney World has to offer, hotel guests can take free transportation all around the property, including monorails, the Skyliner, buses, and watercraft. Plus, all hotel guests, regardless of whether they choose to stay at a Value, Moderate, or Deluxe Resort, can participate in Early Theme Park Entry, which gets you into the parks 30 minutes before the general public. Another huge benefit is that Disney World hotel guests can purchase and book their Lightning Lane selections seven days prior to their arrival, whereas everyone else can only book three days in advance.
And now, a brand new hotel perk is available for those with Disney World hotel reservations in 2025! On your day of check-in, you and the party linked to your hotel reservation will each receive FREE admission to one of Disney World’s water parks!
While this perk is a great way to wait for your room to be ready, as check-in is typically not until 4PM at Disney World hotels, we will warn you that there is a downside to this perk. Disney states in there that tickets are based on availability, which means that if the park is closed for refurbishment or cold weather, you may not be able to use this perk. It is also important to note that the tickets are non-transferable.
Both water parks also have annual refurbishments, but Disney says they will continue to be staggered. The Disney World website says, “Guests should be able to enjoy at least one water park experience year-round.” If you choose not to use this perk, you do not get anything in exchange for not going to the water parks. Now, let’s get into how you can use this free perk!
The perk will automatically be loaded into your My Disney Experience account, and when you scan into the water park, it will be able to recognize your reservation. The ticket will show up under “Tickets and Passes” in the My Disney Experience app and is called “Resort Guest Water Park Arrival Day Benefit.”
Remember, this perk is only good on your check-in day. You do not need to be checked into your room for the perk to be recognized. The only requirement is that your reservation and everyone staying in your hotel room be properly linked through your My Disney Experience account.
If you plan to use this perk, we suggest arriving at Disney World earlier in the day, as the water parks tend to close earlier than the theme parks, especially during the winter season. We also suggest packing a bag with your swim gear all ready to go so that way you can head to the water park as soon as you drop off your luggage at your resort with Bell Services if you choose to do so. You do not have to worry about packing towels, as towels are complimentary for Disney World resort guests.
2025 is gearing up to be a huge year at Disney World as many more new and exciting experiences are set to debut across the resorts and parks, so make sure to continue to follow along with Disney Food Blog to stay up to date on all the latest Disney news!

Is there Bus Transportation available from the WDW Resorts to the Water Park(s)?
I have seen conflicting information online.
Not. Bret perk. Most air travel arrives in Orlando in the morning, and will get you to WDW by noon…provided you arrange transportation to your Disney Hotel at the airport.and have your luggage I hand by 11am. Most airfare from anywhere can get the Orlando by 10am arrival. Then, when you check in, put baggage into valet hold, get your bathing suit, if you have not packed it in your carry on, the best case is you will get to waterpark my noon, maybe 1pm. Waterpark closes at 5 pm, so a quick Disney Trnsport to the water park will cost you 3p minutes, nd best case, you may have 3-4 hours there. Not a great perk, a lot of running to get there if you can. Not a great perk. They should just give you a 1 day voucher for any day of your vacation, plus a half price water park for all the members of your family. That would work better as a perk.
I’m waiting for package delivery to return. That’s the only hotel perk I miss! I hope they bring that back. I would buy a lot more if I didn’t have to carry it around all day on and off rides. Even if they just started with deluxe resorts, club level. It would be awesome. I miss that so much.
This really great if you are doing a split stay because it is on your check in day, not necessarily your arrive in Orlando day.
Hi DFB. I checked on my app and I can only see our annual passes. Is this something that we have to wait until the day of checkin to see ? Our hotel reservation is in the app but not the water park tickets.
Hi Jacqueline! The water park perk should show up in your app under “Future Plans” so if you don’t see it there, you may want to call and see if there’s anything wrong.
Thank you GiGi I see it now ! Will definitely try to get there earlier so we can use this awesome perk !
It’s great to have this perk but Disney is really sneaky and smart by making it on day of arrival. Most people are focused on getting settled in. If Disney really cared about giving guests a perk they would have allowed use of water park at anytime during the stay. But current big wigs at Disney are just about milking the customers until they leave their post.
The way I see it, Jaz, is that they are giving you an alternative to spending full cost for a park day on the day of your arrival on the really good chance that you won’t use the full day in the park. It’s just an option for that day. Those who don’t want to use it don’t have to – just like many people (myself included) didn’t realize there is mini-golf included in the package when you bundle your hotel and park tickets, and don’t use that. It’s free, that’s all.
