Do you hear that? It’s the sound of PROGRESS! For a while, it seemed like there was no end in sight for Disney’s loooooong TRON: Lightcycle Run construction project, but lately, we’ve been seeing a lot of big additions to the newest attraction headed for the Magic Kingdom.
Hello from the Magic Kingdom!
Unfortunately, the classic (and convenient!) Walt Disney World Railroad is sort of being held hostage by TRON right now; the train has been unable to run due to the TRON construction blocking the tracks. Could this be changing soon? Maybe! Come with us to see why we’re smiling in Disney World on this sunny afternoon!
There are practically HUNDREDS of hotels in and around Disney World — that’s a lot of choices! Nowadays, a trip to Disney World is pretty expensive, but luckily, there are plenty of ways you can save money. After all, you’re going to need some leftover dough for a churro or two!

We recently visited Animal Kingdom during part of Spring Break, so we encountered a lot of heavy crowds and loooooong wait times. If you’re planning a trip to the parks in the near future, prepare for some busy days! Now let’s get going and take a look at what’s new!
When you’re taking pictures in Disney World, you want to look your best, right? Well, between the rush back and forth across the parks and Florida’s uncooperative weather, we often end up with some less-than-flattering photos. (Seriously, why didn’t anyone warn us that our hair was THAT frizzy from the humidity?!) And don’t even get us started with the results when dad is in charge of the camera…let’s just say that you can probably expect a finger or two to block the lens.

Here’s a controversial statement for you to consider: some of Disney’s retro and vintage merchandise was CUTER than the new stuff they sell in the parks today. Agree? Disagree? What’s your take? If it weren’t for Disney’s new 50th Anniversary Vault Collection, we probably wouldn’t be having this conversation, but all the new (old) merchandise Disney started releasing really has us thinking about the good old days; you know, when park tickets were cheaper than a gallon of gas today. Ouch.
The Vault Collection has some real gems, like this vintage-inspired bucket hat!

Pasta, pizza, and pesto; the winning trio of Italian foods! If you gave up carbs for Lent, we’re sorry to torture you, because what we’re about to discuss is going to involve a lot of those Italian delights. Speaking of carbs, if you’ve been around for a while, you probably know that we LOVE the Via Napoli restaurant in the EPCOT World Showcase — it’s full of incredible homemade pizza. If you, too, find yourself daydreaming about a hearty pasta meal or a cheesy slice of pizza, you’ve come to the right place.
