PHOTOS: Disney World Added Some Big Updates the EPCOT Park Map

Opening up a new Disney World park map is like opening up a present — you think you have a pretty good idea of what’s inside, but every once in a while, you’re surprised!

It was an exciting morning for us in EPCOT today — we were greeted with a wall of brand new park maps! We’ve been discovering new maps at several of the Disney parks, but now it’s EPCOT’s time to shine. Time for a map reveal!

To catch you up, so far we’ve seen new maps in the Magic Kingdom (looking sharp, Mickey!)…

Can we take a moment to appreciate this PERFECT photo?!

…and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. (Love your dress, Minnie!) These maps were both updated with new covers, new entertainment offerings, plus some fun 50th Anniversary information.

Here’s a look at the new EPCOT map! It looks like Disney wanted to highlight Harmonious on its new park map.

For comparison, this is what the old maps looked like. Cute, but it was time for a change.

Inside, you’ll find some little blurbs on the 50th Anniversary offerings, new (and upcoming) dining and attractions, plus some information on the nighttime experiences offered in EPCOT.

Gotta hype up the 50th Anniversary, of course

One of the biggest changes we noticed is over in World Discovery. The Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction has a NEW graphic with the completed building. Right next door, you can see a big dome-shaped building labeled “Future Home of PLAY!,” which is a reference to the upcoming PLAY! pavilion. We’ve seen this on some of the older maps, but it’s good to know that Disney hasn’t completely forgotten about PLAY!

Over on the other side of the map, we noticed that the Connections Cafe and the Connections Eatery are listed under the Dining section of World Celebration. Disney recently announced that these dining locations are opening in spring, 2022, which is VERY soon!

To match with the new graphic, there’s also a Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind section of the map with a short description of the attraction. The ride is set to open in summer 2022, and we can’t WAIT!

Finally, the Harmonious barges are now also printed on the maps, along with a little label right below.

There are those big old Harmonious barges, too!

Who knows; if you hold onto this map long enough, it could become a piece of Disney World history! We’ll be all like, “Hey, remember when Disney used to use My Disney Experience way back in 2022? My Disney Experience Deluxe Diamond Platnium+ is WAY better**!”

**We totally made this up, but it sounds like something Disney would eventually create, right?
