If you’re a night owl, you might do some WEIRD things on your Disney World vacation.
Most of the excitement in Disney World happens during the day, so if you prefer to stay up late, you may be hatching some pretty strange plans to take full advantage of those late hours. These are the things that night owls do in Disney World that are a little bit…bizarre.
It’s time to start preparing for spooky season at the Disney parks!
Yes, it’s still summertime (technically not even summer yet — we’ve got to wait for June 21st for that to kick off officially), but those who’ve been to Disney for Halloween in the past know that preparations begin months ahead of time. And if you’re interested in going to Disneyland Resort to celebrate, you’ve got to mark June 18th on your calendar RIGHT NOW.
If you’re going to Disney World soon, you’ll want to double check and see if your hotel will be under construction during your stay!
Disney World frequently plans refurbishments at the resorts, whether they’re updating the rooms, fixing up the pools, or renovating dining locations and shops. If you check the Disney World webpage for your hotel before your trip, you’ll be able to see if the resort is planning construction during your visit. And for those heading to Pop Century soon, you’ll be happy to know that some projects just wrapped up!
We are getting HYPED for the new land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
We recently got some major updates about Monstropolis, the new land themed to Monsters, Inc. Disney has revealed the backstory of the land and some of the offerings, including Harryhausen’s restaurant and The Glob Theater. But there’s still so much left to learn, and construction progress has been fascinating. Now, we’ve got a look to share behind those construction walls!
There has been a fun update for refillable mugs in Disney World!
For Disney World, refillable mugs can be found at the Resort hotels, and you can purchase one to use for the length of your stay, or get one included per person with your Dining Plan. You’ll only be able to refill these mugs at the Disney Resorts, but if you drink a lot of soda or other fountain drinks, it can be worth the cost very quickly. One problem though — with many of the designs looking the same…how do you tell whose mug is whose?
For more than 15 years, we’ve covered food in the Disney theme parks. But during the past few years, other parks have been climbing the ladder to try to match Disney’s standard.
Of course, Disney isn’t just your standard amusement park fare — those who’ve dug deeper in the parks can see the critically acclaimed restaurants and fan-favorite snacks beyond just the Mickey pretzels and turkey legs. But as Disney raises the bar, we’ve seen other theme park giants, like Universal, step up their game as well. And now, the next big theme park food destination might be a spot that wasn’t even on your radar before.
One thing that you can always count on Disney World is that all the offerings in Disney Springs change very frequently.
We’re constantly seeing rotating snacks at the dining locations and new shopping opportunities pop up around Disney Springs. They’re even getting a new attraction called Level99 soon! But in addition to that, some new stores are moving in, and we just learned the location of one of them.
Listen, over the years, our team has made some major mistakes in Disney World.
You don’t get to be Disney World pros without making a few hiccups along the way, and thankfully, we’ve learned from those experiences. That’s why we’ve rounded up a list of things that we’re NOT doing again in Disney World. If you follow this list, your odds of a successful trip increase exponentially!
Don’t skip out on the seasonal or limited-time treats when you’re in Disney World…they might turn out to be some of the best things you eat all trip!
