It’s official! We’re just a few weeks away from the May 26th opening of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and we could not be more excited.
Disney is helping us count down the days because they just dropped ANOTHER sneak peek at the ride, and it’s a big one. We now know that two of the most iconic characters, a pair that we loved dearly from Muppet*Vision 3D and beyond, will be part of the ride!
That’s right! In a new video Disney has just released on their social media, it’s been confirmed that the icons Statler and Waldorf have a new home inside the new version of the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster attraction! Similar to how they were sitting in Muppet*Vision 3D, they’re seated inside a van, and make a very similar joke — after Waldorf asks if they have time to go to the bathroom before the next song, Statler replies that they’re bolted to the seats!
This is so excited, as we know we weren’t the only ones who were going to miss hearing their heckling, and now we don’t have to! Based on the video, it’s not entirely clear where they’re situated inside the ride or queue, but from what we can see, it looks like the loading or unloading area! We’ll have to wait and see where they are exactly when we ride in a few short weeks.
