DATE ANNOUNCED for the Release of 2 New Disney Movie Sequels

OH BOY! (As Mickey would say!) Some big Disney movie news has just been revealed!

On March 18th, 2026, Disney held its annual Shareholder Meeting and dropped all kinds of updates, but there’s one in particular that movie fans might be VERY excited about!

During the Shareholder Meeting, Disney announced the release date for the live-action ‘Lilo & Stitch’ sequel! Its projected release date is May 26th, 2028. We don’t have too many details about the sequel, but it will presumably catch up with Lilo and Stitch now that they’re living with David and Tūtū while Nani is away at college.

There will also be an Incredibles 3! Its projected theatrical release date is June 16th, 2028. This will be a continuation of the Disney Pixar Incredibles series, following the superhero family in their next big adventure.

That is just the latest in Disney’s upcoming movie projects. 2026 is stacked with Disney movies like The Mandalorian and Grogu, Hexed, the live-action Moana, Toy Story 5, and Avengers: Doomsday. Plus, Disney has already announced that they’re working on Frozen 3 and likely 4, Avengers: Secret Wars, Incredibles 3, Coco 2, Avatar 4 and 5, an untitled musical from Pixar, a third Monsters, Inc. movie, and So. Much. MORE.

We’ll be very interested to see just what movies are announced next, and just how (if at all) these movies may be incorporated into Disney’s theme parks around the world. Many of Disney’s latest theme park projects have been IP-focused, so it’ll be quite the adventure to see just what characters Disney adds to its parks next.
