We love Disney food. Okay, so maybe you guessed that because we’re called Disney Food Blog, but we seriously cannot stop talking about Disney World food and what you should get. There are a few different ways to go about getting food at Disney World, and one way is with the Disney Dining Plan.
There are two different types of Disney Dining Plans: the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan and the Disney Standard Dining Plan. You’ll pay for the plan before your trip, and then you’re allotted a certain number of credits to use at Disney World restaurants and snack stands. While not every single restaurant is covered under the plan, many are, and we’re diving into all the available restaurants!
First, here’s a quick overview of the Disney Dining Plans.
Disney Dining Plans are an optional add-on to a Disney World Vacation Package (which also includes your Disney World hotel room and theme park tickets.) This means that the Disney Dining Plan is exclusive to guests staying in a Disney World Resort hotel. Disney Dining Plans are pre-purchased, so all you have to do when you get to Disney World is head to a restaurant that accepts the Disney Dining Plan, and you’re good to use it!

Here are some details about the two Disney Dining Plan options: the Standard Disney Dining Plan and the Quick Service Disney Dining Plan.
For the Standard Dining Plan, everyone in the party ages 3 and over receives the following:
- 1 Quick Service Meal (per night of stay)
- 1 Table-Service Meal (per night of stay)
- 1 Snack/Nonalcoholic Drink (per night of stay)
- 1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug
It’s also nice to know that beverages are included with each meal. Guests under 21 can choose from nonalcoholic beverages, and guests 21 and over with a valid identification can substitute for beer, wine, and cocktails. There are also a few meals where it will take two table-service meal credits, such as for Fine/Signature Dining, select Character Dining experiences, or a Dinner Show. Children ages 3 to 9 must order from the children’s menu when available.
The cost for the Standard Disney Dining Plan for 2024 is $98.59 per adult, per day (ages 10 and up), and $31.94 per child, per day (ages 3 to 9). If you’re planning on adding the dining plan, make sure you look into the free dining plan for kids ages 3 to 9 in 2026!
