We’re on the Disney Adventure, Disney Cruise Line’s newest cruise ship, and we’re getting ready to ride an attraction — at sea!
We’re on the ship’s maiden voyage out of Singapore. The Disney Adventure is the first Disney Cruise Line ship to sail from Singapore’s Marina Bay Cruise Centre and throughout Southeast Asia. The ship’s theme is adventure, and there are seven themed areas, including Marvel! That’s where we’re heading to ride Pym Quantum Racers. So come with us!
Disney has called this ship the “biggest adventure yet,” featuring Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories on board. Presenting seven themed areas, the Adventure will “be packed with immersive experiences and entertainment featuring beloved characters where families can create memories to last a lifetime… without ever leaving the ship!”
One of the attractions is Pym Quantum Racers, which is a speedy go-kart attraction inspired by Ant-Man and The Wasp and their use of Pym Particles. This ride is found at Marvel’s Landing and is one of three attractions aboard this ship.
There are only seven cars, so only seven people can go at a time, unless kids ride with their parents (but from what we saw, they wanted to drive themselves!). This is also a very slow ride — like, be prepared to go slower than you possibly think. We’re not sure how it matches with the name of Pym Quantum Racers because of the slow speed, but it was still fun.
We loved hearing Scott and Cassie Lang from Ant-Man announce “no racing” during the intro, and you get about two laps in before the cars stop. We also saw some other issues with the cars, but since it’s a new attraction, it might take a moment to get everything up and running. At least it doesn’t sound (or smell!) like Tomorrowland Speedway and Autopia. There are quite a few stops, and sometimes the Crew Members have to go out and push the cars if there’s a pile-up. It was also a bit difficult to steer.
We’re seeing and doing everything there is to do on Disney’s newest cruise ship! We’ve got a lot more to show you from the Disney Adventure, so be sure to follow along with Disney Food Blog!
