We don’t know about you, but we’re pretty darn excited about the upcoming release of Toy Story 5. The movie officially premieres in theaters on June 19th, and it’s already predicted to break records.

Disney has been going ALL out with Toy Story 5, and we’ve been seeing tons of fun promotions and collaborations nearly everywhere. You’ll find a ton of new Toy Story souvenirs and merchandise (including Crocs) and even a collaboration with Papa Johns for Toy Story-themed pizza. We were lucky enough to see an early preview of the new movie, and you’ll never guess who stopped by!

There may not be a snake in our boot, but there were some surprise guests at our early screening of Toy Story 5 at Disneyland! That’s right, the voice of Woody himself, Tom Hanks, made an appearance and chatted it up — along with Conan O’Brien, who also voices a character in the new film — with the crowd ahead of the film’s showing.

The actors joked with the audience about naming an attendee’s baby after a character from the franchise, and mentioned Jess/Jessie, Bonnie, and even Woodie, “with an -ie,” Tom said.

Tim Allen, the voice of Buzz Lightyear, previously spoke about the new movie as well, explaining that the movie will largely focus on Jessie. According to Variety, he said, “I can tell you that it’s a lot about Jessie,” adding, “Tom [Hanks] and I do — Woody and I — do realign. And there’s an unbelievable opening scene with Buzz Lightyear. I can give you that, but I can’t give you much more.”

The new movie is set to be released in theaters on June 19th, 2026. Disney teased that the film will follow the toys as they find their jobs harder than ever while competing with electronics. The film is directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton, who shared, “Through the experiences of these toys, we’ve learned about loyalty and belonging and friendship, and these characters give a perspective about growing up and navigating life.”
