If you’re coming to Disney World with little kids, you’ll probably be looking for any chance you can get to have them burn off a little energy.
EPCOT
You spend a lot of time waiting in lines, sitting at restaurants, and staying still while watching shows, so it makes sense that the kids will want a chance to run around. Thankfully, there are several locations around Disney World property where you’ll find playgrounds, including the newly renovated one in EPCOT!
In World Discovery, next to Creations Shop, there’s a playground with equipment for all the littles — from the toddlers to the 10-year-olds. For a while now, this playground has been surrounded by construction walls, but now, those walls are DOWN.

For the most part, it looks like the equipment has been refreshed and the landscaping has been touched up. The layout of the playground is pretty similar to how it was before, with one area for toddlers and one area for older kids.
There are plenty of offerings for your kids here.
There’s also a seating area with tables for parents to chill and watch their kids while they play — that’s a great addition! (We’re nearly always excited to get more seating in the parks.) This area also has stroller parking available.

EPCOT has several great play areas for kids, including Project Tomorrow at the exit of Spaceship Earth and the Advanced Training Lab with an indoor playground at Mission: SPACE. Add in Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana, and your kids won’t run out of things to do!

After they play, don’t forget to stop by the KidCot stations all around the World Showcase in EPCOT. They’re a great way for your children to learn about other cultures!
