Another small scheduling update has popped up for Epic Universe visitors!

Isle of Berk
Universal’s latest attraction schedule update shows that a popular new ride will remain closed longer than originally announced. The extended downtime now spans several additional days, making this an important note for anyone planning their Universal park days this week.
If you were planning a visit to Universal’s Epic Universe this week with Fyre Drill high on your must-do list, there’s been a small change you’ll want to know about. According to the latest park hours and attraction status information, the popular How to Train Your Dragon-themed water ride will now remain closed through February 13th instead of its previously scheduled reopening on February 8th. That means you can expect Fyre Drill to return to operation on February 14th, however, that’s always subject to change.

Fyre Drill
Fyre Drill first closed on February 1st for what was initially announced as a brief refurbishment, likely part of routine maintenance or early-season adjustments for Epic Universe’s first winter season. Water attractions like this often get scheduled downtime during cooler months when demand is lower and mechanical systems benefit the most from detailed checks.

Although a one-week extension might not sound like a big deal on the surface, it’s worth noting for anyone with trip plans between February 7th and February 13th. Fyre Drill is one of Epic Universe’s more interactive, family-friendly attractions, perfect for visitors of all ages who want a break from thrill rides and a fun way to cool off when the Florida sun is out. Although, with the latest cold weather bout that Orlando has recently experienced, we wouldn’t blame you if it wasn’t ranking super high on your list at the moment. But if you were determined to try it out or ride EVERYTHING Epic Universe has to offer, you’ll want to build your day around the many other immersive experiences the park has to offer.

Fyre Drill
Universal hasn’t shared specific details on why the closure window has been lengthened, but if you’ve timed your visit during this period, you should plan your itinerary accordingly. Whether you’re focused on character encounters, coasters, or exploring the detailed worlds of Epic Universe, there’s still plenty to do while Fyre Drill gets ready to reopen!
