We have been waiting for YEARS for the return of Disney’s Grand Floridian Tea Room, and it is almmooost time! The Garden View Lounge at the Grand Floridian will officially be reopening on March 19th, 2026. The tea room has been closed ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are so excited that it is finally returning. Earlier this month, Disney announced the official reopening date and gave us a peek at the new menu and prices.
When we were at the Grand Floridian recently, we noticed that the construction walls around the Garden View Lounge had come down. There was a rope up at the entrance, but we were able to get a peek inside the refurbished restaurant! Now we are getting even more excited for the reopening of this experience.
We are still over a month away from the reopening of the Garden View Lounge, but it looks like the renovation inside has been completed! Disney has announced that the tea room will feature new touches inspired by Alice in Wonderland.
Walls are down at the Garden View tea room at the Grand Floridian Resort! It’s THE cutest place especially for those who are in the Bridgerton spirit 🤭✨🫖 pic.twitter.com/6OZEg64NJo

While the sign on the outside is the same as before, the inside of the Garden View Lounge has gotten a refresh. Here is a look at the sign in 2026.
Here is a look at the entrance to the Garden View Lounge in 2019. It looks like new wallpaper was installed, but the sign looks the same. The gold railings are still there, and the plant looks the same, too!
However, the inside is looking bright and fresh. We spotted new furniture, including new tables and chairs. As well, the carpet has been updated.
We also spotted some new booths amongst the furniture.
Previously, the Garden View Lounge had a much redder color scheme. Here is a look at what the restaurant used to look like.
The outside of the tea room also got some updates! There are now three stained-glass features and new decor that welcome you to the restaurant. The space behind the windows is the tea room. This area is located to the right of the entrance. We are really loving the stained glass they have installed.
Previously, this spot had white fencing, which you can spot on the right side of this picture.
Going even farther back to 2010, this spot used to just be open to the lobby, and there was a large vase of flowers.
Reservations for the Garden View Lounge will open on February 19th, and it will officially reopen on March 19th. When it reopens, afternoon tea service will be $79 per adult and $49 per child.
