We may have just found our comfort food at Disney’s Animal Kingdom for when we’re standing at the closed gates of DINOSAUR, tears in our eyes, watching the attraction slowly disappear day by day.

We recently went to Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery at Animal Kingdom to check out the new 7-Layer Bar! Is it worthy of being the food we drown our sorrows in as we grieve the loss that’s upon us at the park? Let’s find out.
Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery is a quick-service stand that you’ll find in the Africa area of Animal Kingdom. They make all your usual coffee shop items — coffee and pastries. They also have other things like wraps and bowls for lunch, and some treats for dessert. Now, they have this new 7-Layer Bar!

The 7-Layer Bar is available for $5.79, and it’s a graham cracker crust with coconut, pecans, sunflower seeds, chocolate chips, and butterscotch chips with a sweetened condensed milk filling that’s topped with Maldon Salt. Seven layers of GOODNESS!

The bar is pretty thick, which goes without saying since it’s seven layers. This treat was fascinating because you could taste each ingredient with every bite. The salty nuts and seeds complement the super-sweet condensed milk filling.
This was tasty!
We also really enjoyed the texture of the bar! It was chewy, crunchy, soft, and gooey all at once. We have to say that this was one of the most unique desserts we’ve had at Disney World. It reminds us of the Magic Cookie Bars you used to find around Disney World, but a bit nuttier!
