REVIEW: Does Disney World's VIRAL Cookie Dough Snack Deliver? Let's Find Out!

Okay, we have to ask, Disney, what is this sudden obsession with croissants?

Yes, croissants are generally basic, but lately, Disney World has been offering up all kinds of over-the-top croissants, following a seriously viral croissant trend that’s taken the internet by storm. We’ve had a croissant stuffed with espresso (why get a croissant and a coffee when you can have both in one snack?) and a PB and J Croissant (no, really). We’ve also had a Croissant Cookie, which seems to be THE new croissant trend because we just had a DIFFERENT version of that very same snack.

The Croissant Cookie we had from Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary Resort was a croissant wrapped around cookie dough. Now, Amorette’s Patisserie has offered us a Cookie Dough Croissant for $8, which is a Croissant filled and topped with cookie dough. This has become a THING, folks! We just want to warn you: if you get this, get yourself some napkins because it is VERY messy to eat because of the melted chocolate and croissant crumbs.

The croissant is nice and flaky, as well as golden and crispy on the outside. It just has a hint of sweetness. The cookie on top is lightly baked and it’s a nice texture thing because there are some crispy edges on that cookie dough that just SERVE. The chocolate is rich and sweet and works well with the croissant. Flavor-wise, we can’t complain.

We were thrown off by the cookie dough in the middle of the croissant because it is underbaked (kinda’ the point of cookie dough, we know), but it’s chewy and we didn’t exactly love that texture with that of the croissant. However, we will go on the record as saying this is still a tasty treat and we aren’t mad about Disney’s recent obsession with croissants.

Overall, we’d recommend this snack. So if you’re headed to Disney Springs and want a snack that’s already popping up all over social media, here’s your chance!
