There’s been a very small, yet sweet change at Magic Kingdom!

Cinderella Castle
We can’t lie, we’ve been checking in at Magic Kingdom to see if any changes have been made to the guide map with all the new things on the horizon. We may not have seen anything we’ve been wanting to see, but we did notice a very tiny change.
The Magic Kingdom park map got a new cover that now features Mirabel from Encanto. The cover has lots of vibrant colors and cool designs. Park maps are always a fun (and free) keepsake when visiting Disney World, so the cover art for them does mean a lot!

Mirabel on the cover!
All the experiences from the parade to the fireworks to the attractions are on the first page. That first page is helpful with information on the My Disney Experience app and what it can do! We were thinking that maybe we’d see an update on Big Thunder Mountain or Buzz Lightyear since they’re opening in the Spring of 2026, but nothing yet.

Experiences in the map!
We already see that green has completely covered what was once Tom Sawyer Island. However, there are a couple of new changes to pay attention to! Tortuga Tavern, Pete’s Silly Sideshow, and Big Top Souvenirs have been removed from the park’s list of offerings. Tortuga Tavern doesn’t have a set reopening, but the two Storybook Circus locales are expected to reopen later this year. Eventually, that green patch where Tom Sawyer was will become Piston Peak, and we’re SUPER excited!

The park map and attractions!
The Magic Kingdom map also added AstroFizz and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (which was previously listed as “under refurbishment). We also noticed the description of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin has been updated and reads, “Blast targets to score points and defeat Zurg in this interactive space adventure.”

After that, there will be an even bigger change to the park map — it may even be expanded! Magic Kingdom’s new Villains Land is going to be placed behind Big Thunder Mountain. It doesn’t look like there’s a ton of room on the map, so the map might get bigger. Can you imagine what this map will look like in a few years?!
