We’re starting off the new year strong in Magic Kingdom with MORE construction, but we knew it was coming, so we had time to prepare.
There are tons of meet and greet spots in Magic Kingdom, but a super popular one, especially for younger kiddos, is Pete’s Silly Sideshow in Storybook Circus. It was announced in the middle of December that this special meet and greet spot would be closing for refurbishment, but don’t worry — you can still meet these beloved characters in the land!
Right at the entrance to Storybook Circus, we quickly spotted Minnie and Goofy, both still dressed in their iconic attire from Pete’s Silly Sideshow. There was a tape queue set up for people to follow, which appeared to be working relatively well.
Then, we spotted Donald and Daisy, also in their attire, further back by the restrooms in this land. They had a much shorter line than Goofy and Minnie, likely because they’re some of the first characters you see when you enter — for Donald and Daisy, you’ve gotta look for them a little bit more.
There wasn’t much of a tape queue set up here, but we could see that changing in the near future when the meet and greet gets more popular.
Then we headed over to see Pete’s Silly Sideshow itself, and sure enough, it’s behind walls. At this time, it’s unclear when this spot will reopen, but we’ll be sure to keep an eye out and let you know exactly when we hear of a potential reopening date.
