The holiday season in Disney World can be a little busy, and we get it. The holidays are just SO SPECIAL in Disney World, especially in Magic Kingdom, which is why so many people want to visit during this time.
That’s especially true on days like Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, and well, if you have plans to visit Magic Kingdom on those days, you might just be out of luck if you’re a Disney World Annual Passholder. We’re going to tell you why.
As you may know, Disney World Annual Passholders still have to make park pass reservations to visit the parks. That means that only a certain number of reservations are available at any given time. Well, on two specific days coming up soon, park pass reservations are entirely gone for Magic Kingdom for Annual Passholders: December 25th and December 31st, aka Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.
Now, it’s no secret why these are two of the busiest days in Disney World of the entire year. Who doesn’t want to spend Christmas Day in Magic Kingdom, one of the few days you can usually enjoy both the Christmas parade and Christmas fireworks without a ticket to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party?
On New Year’s Eve, Magic Kingdom also has special fireworks, and yes, that’s a big draw for people. It makes sense that folks would want to ring in 2026 in Magic Kingdom!
Park pass reservations being gone is a good indication that those are going to be two very busy days in Magic Kingdom. If you are visiting the park as a regular guest, you’ll want to get there early and probably stay there all day. You’ll also want to bring your patience, use Mobile Order for food (if available), and stake out spots for the parade and fireworks early.
