Two popular rides at two popular Disney Parks just got massive upgrades!

Disney has been making a lot of changes to its parks around the world, and there is no sign of them slowing down! We were very excited to see two changes in particular, which have officially been completed. We’re stopping at both Disneyland and EPCOT to check out these new versions of popular attractions!

First, we’re headed to EPCOT, where we’ll walk around the World Showcase, and land in France! Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure has undergone some major changes — we’re talking changes that completely change the experience of the popular ride.

At the beginning of November, the ride closed down for four days (yeah, only four days for this change). It reopened on November 14th and has been up and running ever since. What were they doing? Well, they were making some queue upgrades and changing the ride from a 3D experience to a 2D experience!

That’s right, the ride is no longer in 3D. All the scenes are the exact same, along with everything else about the ride, just no more glasses. Even though it takes away a little from the immersion of the ride, it will be more enjoyable as a fair number of people got motion sickness with the 3D. So, go to EPCOT and check out the new version, see what you think!

Hey, Remy!

Next, we’re headed to Disneyland, where a new model was added to the Storybook Land Canal Boats. The popular attraction that takes you through tiny models from iconic Disney movies added another piece during its refurbishment. Now you can check out a brand-new miniature based on Rapunzel’s Tower from Tangled.

The new tower includes a shingled turret and several high windows, a “meticulously cared for selection of flora”, and multiple wanted posters seeking Flynn Rider.

Guests on the attraction can hear the film’s iconic music. During the day, “When Will My Life Begin?” will play from Rapunzel’s Tower. In the evening, the music will switch to “I See the Light”, recreating the beautiful scene from the movie.
