Disney’s Animal Kingdom is getting a brand new land, and as a result, we’ve seen the phased closure of DinoLand U.S.A., with the entire land set to close in February 2026. Looking forward, though, we can’t wait to see Pueblo Esperanza (that’s the new land), as well as ride its attractions.
Well, one of those attractions will be an Encanto-themed ride (and unlike Bruno, we are going to SO talk about it). Now, we’ve seen a model of the ride, as well as concept art, but now we have a full aerial view of the ride’s construction…and y’all, it is HUGE.
The Encanto ride will be inside the Casita, the house where the Madrigal family lives. It will take place after Antonio has received his gift (he can talk to animals), and his room has transformed into a rainforest. You’ll get to go on a journey through the Casita, meeting other members of the Madrigal family along the way.
Well, the ride itself will be WAY bigger on the inside (Disney rides are a lot like the TARDIS in that way), and now we know just HOW big thanks to some new aerial photos by @bioreconstruct. Here’s an aerial view of the Encanto ride’s construction site. SEE? It’s MASSIVE.
Here’s another view of the ride’s construction from a different angle. The scope of this ride is blowing our minds! That structure in the middle may be where the exterior of the Casita will go.
In comparison, here’s the concept art for the ride’s exterior.
Another photo shows where concrete was recently poured into the site.
We’re not sure exactly what kind of ride this will be. From the concept art, it looks like it could be a trackless ride like Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, or Rise of the Resistance. But it could also be a boat ride, which would work well, too!
We’ll be keeping an eye out for more updates about this ride and Pueblo Esperanza, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

I’m just praying it truly is a “family” ride which includes a wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV)
Me too! They missed the message with Flight of Passage. I rode it once when it opened, and I was finished for the week. My mistake, but I hate not being able to ride it again.
