We’ve long known that Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ in Disney Springs is one of our favorite spots to eat, especially for brunch, but a lot of people forget just how incredible their lunch and dinner menu is as well.
We ourselves do the same from time to time, so when we heard there was a new burger available on the menu, we knew we had to go check it out, just to see if it would live up to the hype we nearly always feel about this spot. And WOW, let’s just say, this burger was so good, we think we’ll be dreaming about it for WEEKS.
Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ is a hard spot to snag reservations for, especially for breakfast and brunch, but if all you can find is lunch and dinner, don’t be discouraged, because this menu is just as brilliant. We stopped by recently to grab the Southern Burger for $24, which is two all-beef patties topped with American Cheese, pecan-smoked bacon, two fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese, arugula, and a truffle aioli, served on a brioche bun with a side of crispy fries.
From the first bite, our first thought was WOW, because all the flavors combined beautifully. The star of the show was the pimento cheese since it was in the sauce with the truffle aioli, which was also delicious. The arugula pairs nicely as well, so it gives the burger a fresh taste. All the flavors were strong individually, but all combined wonderfully. In fact, it reminded us of that scene in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory where they’re trying the candy that tastes like Thanksgiving dinner. The pimento cheese and the Truffle aioli are the strongest flavors, though, so you’ll certainly need to enjoy those to like this burger!
The tomato itself provides a fantastic crunch and is seasoned very well. The burger patties themselves were also super juicy and had a perfect texture — firm without being overly so. We would absolutely get this again and feel that burger enthusiasts will be BIG fans, and we hope it’ll stick around on the menu for quite some time.

Sounds amazing !! How did it compare to the Stack Burger from Steakhouse 71, the Wayfinder Burger from Wailulu Bar, and the Bison Burger from Geyser Point Bar & Grill?
The Stack Burger at Steakhouse 71 uses a fattier beef blend and smash-style patties, making it seem a little more juicy and rich, so for that reason, it’s still probably our favorite. The Wayfinder Burger also uses pressed “smash” patties, but is praised specifically for quality and freshness so I’d say those two are pretty close, but the burger from Homecomin’ has extra flavors with the fried green tomato and pecan-smoked bacon, but if we’re just comparing the patties themselves, I think Steakhouse 71 still comes out on top for a good ol’ traditional American burger. In contrast, the Bison Burger uses leaner bison meat, which we find to be slightly dry compared to traditional beef patties, but that’s just personal opinion and a lot of people prefer it.
