If it seems like almost everything is under construction in Disney World…well, it sorta’ is! Magic Kingdom is getting an expansion in Frontierland, a brand new Villains land, and several upgraded rides. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is getting a new attraction in the Tree of Life and a brand new land. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting a revamped area PLUS a brand new land.
Beach Club Resort
Disney World hotels are also getting a lot of updates. Both Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Pop Century Resort are getting new lobbies. Disney’s Beach Club Resort is getting some routine exterior maintenance through 2027. That hotel’s port cochere is currently closed, too, and it looks like it won’t reopen as early as originally thought.
When Disney first announced the construction, the porte cochere was supposed to reopen in September. Now that September has come and gone, that has changed. When we spoke with a Cast Member at Disney’s Beach Club recently, we were told that the construction should be completed in several weeks, which would be mid-October. However, the Disney World website had changed the timeline for the opening of the porte cochere and pushed it back to November, suggesting the construction has been delayed.

This means that if you’re staying at Disney’s Beach Club, you may hear construction noise during the day, as well as see construction. The porte cochere will also remain closed for at least another month. Currently, there are construction walls around Beach Club’s main entrance.

Note that you should see signage around the resort when things are blocked for construction. So keep an eye out for those if you’re visiting Beach Club anytime soon.
