Is Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away on your must-do list for your Magic Kingdom visit? If you’ve loved nighttime parades in the past, then it definitely should be!
The parade has been pretty popular so far, running twice a night and drawing crowds to the point where you have to stake out a spot in advance. And if you’re hoping to watch it on your next trip, you should know that the showtimes are CHANGING.
This is your reminder that starting on Sunday, August 31st (that’s TOMORROW!), Disney Starlight will happen at 8:30PM and 10:30PM each night. This is a change from the previous 9PM and 11PM showtimes that have been scheduled since its debut.
The times for the parade fit around the showtime for Happily Ever After, the fireworks show. Starting August 31st, Happily Ever After will move to 9:30PM each evening. It’s common for Disney to shift the fireworks earlier like this at the end of the summer, since the sun sets earlier and fewer people will be staying up as late.
So if you’re an early bird, you may want to watch the parade BEFORE Happily Ever After, but if you’re cool with staying up late, we’ve found that crowds tend to be a smidge lighter during the later showing. The parade isn’t too long, and it’s a lovely addition to wrap up a great day in the park.
We’ll make sure to keep you updated with any other schedule changes that you need to know about before your trip, so stay tuned.
