The parade has been pretty popular so far, running twice a night and drawing crowds to the point where you have to stake out a spot in advance. And if you’re hoping to watch it on your next trip, you should know that the showtimes are CHANGING.
I recently had the chance to watch the new Magic Kingdom nighttime parade, Disney Starlight, and as soon as I heard the beginning of the music, the waterworks started.

Nighttime spectaculars are my thing, so when I heard I would get to see my favorite characters light up the night sky, I was ready to whip out my bubble wand and start celebrating. Since it’s in Magic Kingdom, you can also catch another top nighttime show — Happily Ever After! Want to try to catch both? Well, you may need a new strategy.
Disney Starlight has officially debuted in Magic Kingdom, and we couldn’t be more excited that there’s finally a nighttime parade back in Disney World!

There are two parades each night (unless there’s a special event happening that night, such as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party), one at 9 PM and the other at 11 PM, with the Happily Ever After fireworks happening in between at 10 PM. So which parade should you see? Now that we’ve seen the parade a few times AND seen the crowds it’s attracting, here’s what we’ve found.

We stopped by the parade’s debut (and a sneak peek of the show), leaving us with lots of thoughts, feelings, and tips! Whimsy in Disney Starlight
The parade officially debuts in Magic Kingdom on July 20th, but last night, July 18th, they announced a surprise preview of the show, and we got to be front and center for it! We shared as much of it as we possibly could on our social media, and while we adored the parade, it turns out that not everyone feels the same way. In fact, some of you are flat out NOT impressed!
It is finally time! We have been eagerly awaiting the opening night for Disney World’s new nighttime parade, and it is finally here! Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away officially made its debut on the streets of Magic Kingdom, and we have SO much to share with you.
