When it comes to dining at the Disneyland Resort, there are so many options to choose from. If you’re looking for a little guidance on where to eat, you’ve come to the right place.
We recently stopped by Wine Country Trattoria at Disney California Adventure to see what was cookin’, and now we’re giving you our full review!
Atmosphere
We love the look and feel of this dining location. There is a lot of seating, so you’re sure to find a place to eat and rest. The theming here is very relaxed, with some beautiful greenery and a nice view of Pixar Pier (depending on where you sit).

Wine Country Trattoria
A hand-carved limestone fountain welcomes you to this rustic retreat where elegantly prepared Italian specialties await. The terrace offers a lot of shade with all its umbrellas, making dining outside feel refreshing.
But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!
Menu
The restaurant offers 25 different wines by the glass, so you can be assured of finding the perfect vintage to complement your meal. They also offer a few different Italian-inspired appetizers and entrees — just be aware, it’s a little pricey.

The restaurant is also currently offering a World of Color prix fixe menu, but this menu is even more expensive than the original one. After comparing prices, we chose not to get anything off it this time.

And now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Pull-Apart Cheese Bread for $11. This is made with Sun-dried Tomato Focaccia, Whipped Herb Ricotta, Mozzarella, Tomato Coulis, Chile Flakes, and Micro Herbs.

Pull-Apart Cheese Bread!
The outside of this is very nice and crispy, with a soft interior. We absolutely LOVED the focaccia here. The cheese is high quality and pulls apart as advertised. It’s not overtly cheesy, but it’s definitely there (probably because it’s made with care).

It was cheesy!
There were great flavors happening with this dish. The topping pesto has chili flakes and the smallest amount of a kick, but it’s packed with earthy tones that add nicely to the cheese and bread. It really gives a flavor explosion with each bite, and we were here for it!

So many flavors!
Side sauce is reminiscent of sun-dried tomato, giving a nice Italian aroma and flavor. It’s big, so you may want to share it with whoever you’re with!
Our main dish was the Rib-Eye Steak for $39. It came with Mascarpone Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Balsamic Pearl Onions, Glazed Baby Carrots, and Porcini Mushroom Demi-glace.

Rib-Eye Steak!
We ordered it medium rare, and it was slightly overcooked — it was still tender though. We found the steak was seasoned well, but there may have been a bit too much pepper. It was a high-quality cut of meat that just missed the top-tier marks.

It was seasoned well!
The pearl onions are tasty; they almost tasted caramelized. Carrots are earthy and a natural pairing, providing a tasty lightness. The potatoes have a herb season and they’re fantastic. They were incredibly fluffy and packed with a surprising amount of flavor. This is the best side!

It was good!
Overall, the steak was good, but not great. The sauce does elevate the flavor profile to give it more of a smoky taste, and it was an awesome size, and with all the food you get. We think this is market value and fair pricing!
For dessert, we grabbed the Peaches & Cream Crème Brûlée Tart for $12. It was Plant-based, with Whipped Chantilly Cream and Oat Streusel.

Peaches & Cream Crème Brûlée Tart!
The peaches tasted fresh, and the crème brûlée flavor adds a nice smokiness. The caramelized sugar and tartness give it a great crunch. The cream custard has a soft peach flavor, so don’t expect any noticeable vanilla. The peach whipped cream was too earthy; we would’ve liked it more if it were sweeter.

A lot was going on with this
The oat streusel is simply an oat bar, which we weren’t huge fans of. It just seemed a little unnecessary. The tart on its own is fantastic, but we probably didn’t need everything else it came with.

Peaches!
Nosh or Not
This Disneyland restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You’re looking for richer and flavorful food! We like the selection here and found that the flavors were great. It’s a bit pricier, but that’s what comes with richer food.
- You want something you wouldn’t eat often at a Disney park! You won’t find your typical burgers and fries here.
- You want to eat somewhere chill and relaxed! This doesn’t have the fast-paced business that you’ll find at other spots.
You should skip this Disneyland spot if…
- You’re on a budget! Like we mentioned, the food here is pricier. There are cheaper options at the park.
- You want something quick and easy! There are many quick-service options if you want to fill up your day to the max. We wouldn’t come here if you want to fit in many attractions within your park day.
- You’re pickier! If you’re a little pickier, there are places with more common theme park food.
Overall
It was easy to get a reservation here, and the food here is more elevated than most other Disney California Adventure restaurants, in our opinion. It’s pricey, but if it’s a nice day and you can swing it, it’s worth the visit.
