When it comes to dining in Disneyland, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle of the road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well.
We recently stopped by Mendocino Terrace at Disney California Adventure to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Happiest Place on Earth? Find out here!
Atmosphere
Mendocino Terrace is located in Performance Corridor at DCA, and if that doesn’t sound super familiar, head on over to Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree in Radiator Springs and look across the way — you’ll spot it!
It’s a pretty small lounge, tucked right near Wine Country Trattoria, Sonoma Terrace, and Magic Key Terrace.
But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!
Menu
Mendocino Terrace specializes in three things: wine, cheese, and beer. And that’s exactly what’s on the menu! For food options, you’ve got a Cheese Plate, and non-alcoholic beverages are made up of sodas, water, and Sparkling Apple Cider.
There are multiple different White Wine and Rosé and Sparkling Wines from all over the world to try, plus a special emphasis on different areas of California.
Finally, you’ll find a list of Red Wines and Ports, as well as Bottled Beer and Cider from all over the world as well. It’s a great spot to go if you want to try something new!
And now, onto the main event!
Eats
As it’s the only food item on the menu, we knew we had to grab the Cheese Plate for $10 to try. This is the Chef’s selection of Cheese and Fruit, served with Crackers.
The Cast Members we spoke to couldn’t tell us exactly what these cheeses were, but the triangle one was dusted with coffee beans which added a bitter taste that went beautifully countered the light and creamy taste of the cheese. The other cheese had been soaked in Cabernet which gave it light hints of dark cherry, and it was nuttier overall.
We think it’s a good pairing with wine for sure, but we wouldn’t come over here just for it.
Drinks
To drink, we picked up the Sebastiani Cabernet Sauvignon 2022. The Cast Member told us that this is their house brand and one of the more popular options. We really enjoyed this! It was smooth with a sweet blackberry taste, and it paired very well with the cheese.
We paid $24 total for both the glass of wine and the cheese plate, and overall, we think it was a great deal! It was a fantastic way to get out of the crowds for a little bit and relax. We highly recommend if you’re wanting a unique experience in the park and want to take a quick break.
Nosh or Not
This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You’re a big fan of wine
- You especially love wine and cheese pairings
- You want somewhere you can get out of the crowds for a bit
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- You’re not a wine drinker
- You’re on the go and don’t want to stop to pause for too long
- You’re not over in Disney California Adventure
Overall
We think this is a great spot for a quick break on your busy park day, and if you love wine and cheese pairings, there’s no better place inside the park itself.
In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!
