Friends. We need to chat.
If you’re anything like me, you have a friend or friends who will tell you all about an item. They will act like that find hung the moon and beg you to try it out. For whatever reason, you don’t listen. Well, that was me with Glamnetic Nails. Everyone on the DFB team would talk about them and how amazing they were. I finally gave in and decided to give them a try. And wow, am I so happy I did. These are the best press-on nails I have ever tried, and I’m already eager to try them again.
Glamnetic Nails
So, for starters, I don’t usually get my nails done often. I am a natural nail girlie through and through. I just feel like the expense and upkeep of getting my nails done isn’t worth it for me. And, I hate how my nails feel so damaged after getting gel nails or acrylics. I am also a toddler mom, so ya know, I don’t get a lot of time to myself to just go out and get my nails done.
BUT, my husband and I were headed to Mexico, and I wanted to have pretty looking nails. I reached out to the DFB team, and they, of course, told me to try Glamnetics. After dragging my feet FOREVER, I finally bought some press on nails. I looked for a set that were trendy, not too over the top, looked easy to apply, and were inexpensive. And Glamnetics fit the bill in every way.
These nails come in different sizes and are supposed to last for up to 2 weeks. I have really tiny hands (I’m only 4’10) and I often get worried that my nails are going to look wild on my little fingers. But I can confidently say that there was a wide variety of sizes when it came to the nails. It wasn’t hard finding ones that would work on my hands and looked pretty natural.
My other worry was the application. I had used press-ons one other time in my life and spent ages shaving them down and gluing them on, only for them to fall off within the first 3 or 4 days. My Glamnetic nails came with simple instructions and glue. I think I spent 15 minutes, MAYBE, putting these nails on. And once they were on, I was SHOCKED, I’m telling you, gagged by how good they actually looked.
So how long did they last, you ask? Well, I wore these babies to the beach, so there was lots of water and sand. My first one popped off after I’d been home from my trip for a day or 2. So they were on for about a week. After the first one popped off, I couldn’t handle it, and I took the rest off myself. I was so impressed to find that my nails were still in really good condition. Most of the glue had come off with the nails. And my nails weren’t discolored or overly soft.
I will be the one shouting from the rooftops that you need to buy these nails. Sorry to be the annoying friend, but it’s true. Right now, they do have a Harry Potter collection out, but they don’t have a Disney collection right now. Here’s to hoping they have one soon!
