REVIEW: And the Pumpkin Spice Award of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Goes to…

We can all agree that the best part of Halloween is the snacks, especially here at Disney World. We try not to get distracted by all the candy because there are limited-time treats that we just can’t get enough of — we love a sweet treat, after all.

There are even exclusive snacks only available during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which is a separately ticketed after-hours event. Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square has two snacks we knew we had to try during our party. Let’s see if it’s a trick or a treat!

We started with the Creepy Kimchi Corn Dog for $10.29. This is a hand-dipped corn dog rolled in malt vinegar and scallions with Hades relish and kimchi-mayonnaise dipping sauce.

This snack is new this year, and we really enjoyed it — more than we thought we would! It had a nice pop of heat that wasn’t too much, as it didn’t linger too long, which we appreciated. It was sweet and savory at the same time, but it wasn’t so different that we’d want to come to this spot just to grab it. However, we’ve heard other people raving about it, so if you’re a kimchi and corndog fan, check it out!

For something sweet, we tried the Pumpkin-spiced Funnel Cake Sundae for $8.99. This is a pumpkin funnel cake (yum) topped with pumpkin gelato, whipped cream, pumpkin-spiced caramel, marshmallow pumpkins, and sprinkles (YUM!). It’s also new this year, and it was a pumpkin spice explosion! If you love pumpkin spice, this is absolutely a must-buy for you, and it’s a bonus if you’re also a big funnel cake fan.

You can also grab the Madame Leota Séance Candle at Sleepy Hollow. This treat costs $6.29 and it is a push pop-style dessert made with Red velvet cake and cookies and cream mousse. This is a very sugary treat that we found a little on the dry side. The mousse is whipped but VERY sweet. The crunchy pearls are nice and add texture. Also, as you push up, the dessert has a tendency to want to fall out, so eat it fast.

Overall, you’ll want to add Sleepy Hollow to your list during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Remember that party food usually starts around 7 PM, so you’ll want to have your snack list ready to go to make the most of your party night. Keep following Disney Food Blog for more!
