If there’s one thing you should know about us here at DFB, it’s that we LOVE dining in EPCOT.
There’s just something special about eating around the World Showcase or exploring one of the fun themed restaurants in the front of the park. The food here is just special! And one of our favorite places to dine — Chefs de France — recently changed its menu. Today we’re taking you along to try out the new eats!
Atmosphere
Chefs de France is located in the front of the France Pavilion at EPCOT. In fact, it’s the most prominent restaurant in the whole pavilion!
You check in for your meal under the awning at the entrance of the restaurant, and you’ll be called inside once your table is ready.
The indoor space is home to multiple dining rooms, and they’re all STUNNING. There’s a lot of natural light in this space due to the many windows along the wall.
The tables here are set elegantly, with our napkins and silverware waiting for us.
Now, it’s time to try out the eats!
Menu
The menu has changed a little bit since our last visit here, and we’re hoping to try out some of the newer items today! As you can guess, the restaurant serves French fare, with appetizer options like escargots and French Onion Soup.
For entrees, you can snag one of the seafood dishes, like Fruits de la Mer or the salmon filet, as well as other options like pork shank, Ratatouille, or Boeuf Bourguignon. And to wrap up your meal for dessert, they serve classics like macarons, Crème Brûlée, and cream puffs.
If you’re looking to dine on a budget, you can also try their prix fixe Menu Français, which comes with an appetizer, entrée, dessert, and beverage, all for $67.95. We opted to order dishes individually because the Annual Passholder discount cannot be applied to the prix fixe menu.
Eats
We started with Bread Service, which we think is the best way to start a meal.
You get a whole baguette with a light, sourdough-like tanginess, served with butter and chunks of salt. The bread is nice and crispy, but the inside is so soft and fluffy, and the contrast of the two textures gives it a great chew. The bread is baked fresh from Les Halles, also located in the France Pavilion, and you can taste the freshness.
We grabbed the Cassolette d’escargots de Bourgogne au beurre persille (Escargot) for $17.95. This is a casserole of Burgundian escargots baked in parsley and garlic butter.
Yum! This dish is delightfully salty, but the garlic and butter are the primary flavors we tasted. It felt like they were swimming in butter, and we’re here for it! Some of the snails were a bit slimier than others, but the texture is chewy, especially paired with the light and fluffy pastry on top. The parsley rounds out the flavor, and the whole dish is light and a perfect way to start our meal (okay, and we were kind of obsessed with the tiny fork).
For the entree, we snagged the Poulet Cordon Bleu, which is $39.95 and brand-new here! Breaded Chicken breast, smoked ham, potato puree, peas, and bechamel all come together to make this dish.
We wish we could eat this every day! The chicken was stuffed with salty ham and covered in a thin, crispy crust. We dunked each bite into the bechamel sauce, and it was just perfection. The potatoes were smooth and buttery, and the peas burst in our mouths in a lovely way. We’re going to have a hard time resisting the urge to order this every time we visit.
And to wrap up the meal, we snagged the Gateau aux 3 chocolats, glace a la vanille. This is $14.95, and it replaced our beloved chocolate tart that used to be on the menu. It’s made with a three-layer chocolate mousse cake and served with vanilla ice cream on the side.
This was a perfect way to round out our dinner. The chocolate was rich and creamy, and the layer of cake on the bottom was moist and fluffy. The vanilla ice cream has strong vanilla flavors with cake crumbles on the side, and we thought the ice cream was the real standout. We’re not sure we love it as much as we loved the chocolate tart. While we certainly enjoyed this chocolate-heavy dessert, we’ll probably try something else for our next visit that’s a bit more unique.

This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You’re looking for an upscale dinner with high-quality dishes
- You love traditional French dishes and the salty, buttery flavors that come with them
- You want to try dishes you’ve always heard of, and want them to be as authentic as possible
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- You’re looking for a more affordable dining option
- You prefer lighter dishes
- You want more familiar dishes or less authentic options (hey, we get it!)
Overall
We’re always dreaming about Chefs de France, and after this meal, we’re already looking at booking another reservation. The Poulet Cordon Bleu is new to the menu and was worth every penny. With the appetizers and dessert, the whole meal was well balanced and a delicious stop in EPCOT.
