Who’s ready to be terrified?
It might not be Halloween season yet, but tickets are officially on sale for Halloween Horror Nights in Universal Orlando. We’ve also learned a few details about what we can expect at this year’s event, and horror fans have EVERY reason to be excited. So let’s break down EVERYTHING we’ve learned so far about Halloween Horror Nights in 2025.
For those who are unfamiliar with Halloween Horror Nights, it’s a separate ticketed event that happens at Universal Studios Florida in Universal Orlando. During the event, you’ll have access to special haunted house walkthroughs, scare zones, spooky entertainment, scare zones, special food and drinks, and more.
Dates and Ticket Prices
Halloween Horror Nights happens on select nights from August 29th through November 2nd. Single-night ticket prices start at $82.99 per person for a single-night ticket and range up to $122.99.
Tickets are on sale now, so if you’re interested in attending, you might want to jump on those ASAP. This is a VERY popular event and could be even more popular this year because of the opening of Epic Universe, which will bring a lot of folks to Universal Orlando who might not be there otherwise (and want a ticket to the Halloween event, too).
Haunted Houses
This year’s event will feature ten walkthrough haunted houses/attractions themed to some of your favorite movies and TV shows. So far, two houses have been confirmed: Fallout, based on the popular video game franchise and hit Amazon series, and Five Nights at Freddy’s. In the Fallout house, you’ll travel into the vaults and have to escape from raiders with Lucy (from the TV show) at your side.
Then you’ll head into the Wasteland and confront the bounty hunter, The Ghoul (wait…do people think he’s scary? He’s so cool!). You’ll also come face-to-face with the Brotherhood of Steel’s Maximus and get to see T-60 power armor (okay, speaking of cool…). Universal will announce the other haunted houses at a later date.
Scare Zones
In addition to the 10 haunted houses, Halloween Horror Nights will also have scare zones, where you’ll face scare actors “on the prowl.” You’ll find streets of Universal Studios Florida transformed into spooky areas with creatures and monsters sure to frighten you.
The idea is to create a real-life nightmare experience for visitors, so needless to say, Halloween Horror Nights is not for the faint of heart.
Live entertainment
If that wasn’t enough, there will also be “outrageous” live entertainment. Remember those dancing M3GAN dancers from a few years ago? In addition to performances like that, you’ll also see other acts throughout the evening that might just blow your mind.
The entertainment is a great way to spend the evening if you don’t want to deal with the scares of the haunted houses (or the lines they always pull).
Rides
Halloween Horror Nights is also an excellent time to take advantage of short ride lines while everyone else is busy with all the spooky goings-on, although it might be a waste of a ticket if that’s ALL you do during the event.
However, you can enjoy most rides in Universal Studios Florida during the event.
Food and Drinks
Okay, so here’s our FAVORITE part of Halloween Horror Nights. Universal gets super creative with the food and drinks for the event. The Mini Stay-Puft S’more, for example, was basically a burned marshmallow version of, well, the big marshmallow dude in Ghostbusters (pretty epic, we think).
You’ll find blood-colored drinks, black desserts, and so much more.
Merchandise
You’ll also find a ton of Halloween Horror Nights merchandise, including spooky merchandise you won’t see anywhere else. That includes some fun popcorn buckets for those of you who like collectibles.
Of course, if you attend the event, you have to make time to visit The Tribute Store, which will not only have movie and TV props on display, but a wide collection of fun, scary goodies for you to buy.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for more details about Halloween Horror Nights, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
