Epic Universe is full of new dining experiences and opportunities, but you’re not just limited to dining inside the park!
Helios Grand Hotel is located right next to the park, and you can easily pop in during your park day for a nice meal or a drink. The rooftop bar, Bar Helios, is especially sought after due to its incredible theme park views, but it’s pretty pricey to dine here. Are the eats and drinks worth the dent to your wallet? We found out!
Recently, while exploring the park, we decided to stop by Bar Helios to grab a bite to eat, and the Heritage Crispy Chicken Wings are what caught our eye first, partially because they’re $24! These were served on labneh (which is a cheese that is sort of like plain Greek yogurt), honey lime, and pomegranate.
The wings all had a decent amount of meat, but $4 a wing is still pretty expensive. Since they had pomegranate seeds and a honey lime flavor, they were a great mix of sweet and savory, which we really enjoyed. Are they good wings? For sure, just know you’ll have to pay a hefty price for them.
We also picked up the Fried Halloumi, which are essentially fried cheese cubes, for $19. It comes with spiced honey and kibbeh.
The breading here is a Panko breadcrumb-type coating, which we have no issues with, especially since the ratio of breading to cheese was really nice. Halloumi cheese is a denser cheese, so don’t expect a cheese pull here. We got around 10–12 pieces on our plate, so it is a shareable appetizer, and we really enjoyed the spiced honey sauce on top.
Overall, we enjoyed the dish a lot, and if you’re going to Bar Helios, knowing you’re about to drop some cash on an upscale snack, then we don’t think this is a bad option. However, we don’t recommend it for picky eaters or those who are choosy about textures, because a lot of the options at this spot are so upscale that it may be hard to find something you like.
Ultimately, this is a lovely little bar with some great options on the menu. We enjoyed our meal, and the vibes were ON POINT. The music was just right, and the views were perfect. Come around golden hour for the BEST experience.

Ladies, all looks delicious, but I cannot have sugar. It is not a pretty sight to see me rolling on the floor in pain. Can u also make suggestions for foods and desserts in Universal and Disney completely sugar free. Add cocktails to that list
