If you live in Florida and you’re looking for a European getaway, or you live in Europe and you’re looking for an easier way to get to Disney World, we’ve got great news for you.
We keep an eye on all the new nonstop flights added to Orlando International Airport (MCO) to help you better understand your options for your upcoming trip, and we’ve got great news for those looking for nonstop flights between Orlando and Europe — new options are on the way!
The Orlando Sentinel reported that the Orlando Airport will soon have new nonstop routes between Orlando and Madrid, Munich, and Paris, and they’re also seeking a direct route to South Korea, which will be the airport’s first nonstop route to east Asia.
The more flights you have to choose from, the better! These new flights will help give you more options when you’re planning a trip to Europe. Below is a breakdown of the new flights coming soon.
On March 5th, Discover Airlines introduced a nonstop flight to Munich, Germany that happens three times a week year-round. Additionally, we now know that on May 21st, Air France will resume direct flights between Paris and Orlando on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The airport stopped service to Paris in 2012.
Finally, on October 26th, Iberia will launch four weekly flights to Madrid, Spain, which will be scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Currently, you can also experience nonstop flights from Orlando to Dublin, Ireland; Reykjavík, Iceland, Edinburgh, London, and Manchester in the United Kingdom.
In January, the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority and Osceola County signed a partnership with Incheon International Airport in hopes of securing a direct route between Orlando and South Korea, and we’re hoping to see that flight arrive later in the year.
