If you’re headed to Disney World next week, get ready for some massive updates!
CommuniCore Plaza
June is shaping up to be a big month with the grand opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure on June 28th, 2024. However, Disney World is getting a few pretty big changes 18 days prior, and we’ve got all the details!
Mark June 10th in your calendars, because that’s the day CommuniCore Hall and Plaza open, a NEW Encanto show premieres, a famous Inside Out character makes her Disney’s Hollywood Studios debut, and The Lion King gets its own 30th anniversary celebration at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza OPEN
After years of planning and construction, CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza are finally opening on June 10th at EPCOT! Serving as a dedicated Festival area, this new area will serve as a “home base” for EPCOT’s seasonal Festivals and live events, beginning with the 2024EPCOT Food and Wine Festival.

CommuniCore Plaza is an outdoor space where guests can relax and experience Festival entertainment while CommuniCore Hall –which is housed within the plaza — will host a wide variety of experiences with food, art, live music, and more.
¡Celebración Encanto!
Beginning June 10th, a NEW Encanto stage show is coming to the CommuniCore Plaza stage to kick off this celebration! Called ¡Celebración Encanto!, this show is a sing-along that includes some popular songs from the movie.

This new stage production will run several times a day and will feature fan-favorite characters such as Bruno and Mirabel. ¡Celebración Encanto! is slated to end its run on September 6th, 2024.
Joy Makes Her Debut at Hollywood Studios
Although she is left EPCOT, Joy from Pixar’s Inside Out franchise isn’t leaving Disney World for good. Instead, she’s making her Hollywood Studios debut on June 10th!

Joy will be joining other Pixar character meet-and-greets at Pixar Plaza and will likely be a focal point to promote Inside Out 2, which premiers on June 14th.
The Lion King 30th Anniversary Celebration
Disney Animation’s The Lion King is turning 30 this year and from June 10th through September 6th, 2024, YOU can celebrate the movie at Animal Kingdom!
Animal Kingdom’s Tree of Life
The celebration will include a meet-and-greet with Timon and Rafiki at Conservation Station, an animation experience where you can learn to draw characters from the film, special photo opportunities in Africa, and themed food and merch.
