One of the BEST parts of going to Disney World is meeting characters — in fact, some might argue that character meet-and-greets are even better than some Disney rides.
There are also so many ways to meet characters in Disney World, too. You’ve got the traditional set meet-and-greets that happen at certain locations throughout the parks. Some characters can be caught roaming around the parks. You can also meet characters at character dining experiences. For those who want to meet a certain Inside Out 2 character, though, there will soon be a new way to do so.
Previously, you could meet Joy, one of the stars of Pixar’s Inside Out and the upcoming Inside Out 2 at EPCOT in the Imagination Pavilion. However, that meet-and-greet recently ended, so you can no longer see her in EPCOT (and Disney hasn’t shared if this is a temporary change or not). However, you will soon be able to meet Joy at Disney’s Hollywood Studios instead.
It sort of makes sense that Joy would be moved to Hollywood Studios because she’ll be joining other Pixar characters over at Pixar Plaza. We expect Disney wanted her in a more high-profile location to promote Inside Out 2, which releases on June 14th. You’ll be able to meet Joy at Pixar Plaza in Hollywood Studios starting on June 10th — just before the new movie comes out!
You could go meet Joy and then see Inside Out 2 a few days later. How fun would that be? In Inside Out 2, Riley is becoming a teenager, meaning she’ll have some new emotions to sort out, including the dreaded emotion called Anxiety. What could possibly go wrong? You can watch the trailer below:
Meanwhile, if you’d like to meet even MORE Pixar characters, you can currently meet Buzz, Jessie, and Woody in Toy Story Land (usually near the entrance), while you can meet Edna Mode, Frozone, and Sulley in Pixar Plaza. For a=exact meet times, be sure to check the My Disney Experience app.
