There’s a NEW addition to the nighttime show in Disney California Adventure right now!

Come with us to check out this new pre-show, which is inspired by Disney’s new animated film, Wish.

Right now, there are two nighttime shows in Disneyland. There’s the holiday fireworks show that happens on select nights in Disneyland Park, and there’s World of Color — Season of Light in Disney California Adventure.

The holiday spin on the classic nighttime water show in California Adventure happens nightly at 9PM and again at 10:15PM (but double check the showtimes on the Disneyland app in case that changes during your trip!).

Now, Disney has added a short NEW water show that plays before World of Color! This pre-show is only sticking around for a limited time. The added show is based on Disney’s Wish movie.

Both Asha and Star from Wish are part of the show, which features the song “This Wish.” There are animated projections, fountains synchronized to music, and lighting effects.

After the Wish-themed pre-show, the regular World of Color — Season of Light show played. There were projections from Disney and Pixar films, fountains, festive music, and more.

If you want a prime seat for the show, you can reserve your spot in the virtual queue before the show begins or purchase a dining package or dessert party. Disney notes that the reserved areas are still standing-room-only. All other viewing areas have a first-come, first-served policy.
