One of the best parts of visiting Disney World is meeting the characters.
Sometimes, characters wander the parks without any official schedule, and you just might bump into them. You may also see special characters during shows and parades. Plus, you can even meet characters at some dining experiences. However, other characters have set meet-and-greet locations, and new spots get added ALL the time. Well, TWO characters now have new spots where they’re meeting guests in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
If you’re visiting Animal Kingdom, you’ll want to keep an eye out for a new character meet and greet spot in DinoLand, U.S.A.. You’ll find this spot near the TriceraTop Spin. Who’s meeting there? The one and only Goofy!
However, if you want to meet Goofy at this spot, you may need to head there first thing in the morning. He’s only available to meet through noon. Check the My Disney Experience app for a full list of times you can meet Goofy.
There’s another character meeting guests in Animal Kingdom, too! If you head towards the Discovery Island bridge, you’ll find Pocahontas! So yes, all you have to do is look for her “Just around the river bend” (see what we did there?).
Pocahontas was out first thing in the morning, too — she isn’t listed in the My Disney Experience app yet, though, so we’re not sure what her official meet times are quite yet.
A Cast Member also informed us that guests can spot Pocahontas on her special flotilla later in the afternoon, which is when her meet-and-greet will stop for the day.

Also, on some days, you might find Meeko meeting here, too — today, we were told Meeko was too busy eating berries. Silly raccoon!

Hey, Meeko!
So keep this in mind for the next time you visit Animal Kingdom — there are two more characters you can meet here! For now, these characters are only available to meet in the morning. Don’t forget you can also meet Mickey and Minnie at Adventurer’s Outpost and Donald, Daisy, and Chip ‘n’ Dale in DinoLand, U.S.A. If you keep an eye out, Kevin from Up also makes an appearance occasionally, as well as DiVine. You’ll also occasionally see characters cruising down the Discovery River, so keep an eye out!

Cuties!
