We’re nearing the end of the 50th Anniversary celebrations in Disney World and it has been a wild ride!
It’s Disney World’s 50th Anniversary!
From the chaos of October 1st, 2021 until now, we’ve seen countless entertainment offerings, merchandise collections, park decorations, and snacks, all dedicated to celebrating this momentous occasion. But now, we’re starting to see those celebrations disappear!
We’ve already seen a few different snacks disappear from Disney World menus, but now we have to mention one specifically that we really enjoyed (and will definitely miss!) — the Glimmer and Shimmer Funnel Cake at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

This treat has been available at Epic Eats in the Echo Lake area of the park for the past 18 months, and it was a funnel cake topped with vanilla soft serve and all kinds of shiny toppings.

There was powdered sugar and chocolate sauce over the funnel cake, gold sprinkles tossed over the whole thing, and chocolate-dipped, gold-sprayed Oreos.
So Sparkly!
It was truly indulgent, but now it has disappeared from the menu.
It’s gone!
If you want something similar, the Cookies ‘n’ Cream Funnel Cake has some of the same toppings, although it’s not quite as pretty as its 50th Anniversary counterpart. And of course, you could always get the funnel cake served plain or with strawberry topping and ice cream. Yum!
We’ll keep an eye out for any more snacks that will disappear from menus soon, so stay tuned to DFB! The 50th Anniversary celebrations officially end on March 31st.
