UPDATED June 6, 2026
🎉 Welcome, gluten-free pals and culinary adventurers! 🎉
Picture this: a world where you can indulge in mouthwatering treats without worrying about pesky gluten getting in the way. That’s right, folks! We’re about to uncover the secret to savoring every bite without a single gluten-related worry. We’re constantly working to bring you the latest updates and reviews on food in Disney World for Disney fans with all types of dietary restrictions. Disney’s food and beverage team makes sure to accommodate different diets and that includes guests who are gluten-free.
So whether you’re a seasoned gluten-free pro or just dipping your toes into the gluten-free pool, buckle up because we’re about to uncover the tastiest treasures and share the juiciest tips to make your gluten-free journey a flavorful success!
First and foremost, know that — with any special diet concern — it is always best to speak directly with a trained special diets Cast Member or Chef at each dining location you visit, no matter the service style.
Guests are advised to share their special diets request with the assisting Cast Member at the restaurant upon arrival. At a Table Service restaurant, this will be your server. At a Quick Service restaurant, Cast Members assist at ordering registers. If you have additional concerns, you may request to speak with a Special Diets-Trained Cast Member.
Making Cast Members aware of your dietary restrictions will help ensure that your food does not come into contact with any cross-contaminants from the cooking surfaces Disney uses to prepare dishes.
So, if you eat gluten-free, what do you need to know about eating in Magic Kingdom?
What to Know
Magic Kingdom Table Service Restaurants — A la Carte
Table Service restaurants (sit-down restaurants) are locations where guests often make Advance Dining Reservations prior to dining, and the process of dining gluten-free begins as soon as you arrive at your chosen restaurant. You should speak with the server for your specific table immediately regarding any concerns.
In Magic Kingdom, these include — but aren’t limited to — spots like Be Our Guest Restaurant, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and Tony’s Town Square.
Disney shares: “Always tell the Cast Member assisting with your order that you have a special diets request. For table-service restaurants, this will be your server. When they know the modification requested is more than just a taste or texture preference, they will inform the kitchen to use the allergy request process, which involves a Special Diets-Trained Cast Member.”
Magic Kingdom Table Service Restaurants — Buffets
The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom serves up a buffet for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Keep in mind that with buffet service, a Chef can walk you through your options; however, cross-contamination may be more difficult to avoid.
If nothing on the buffet looks appealing, you can also ask the chef to make you something that is not on the buffet line.
Table Service Restaurants — All-You-Care-to-Eat Family-Style Service
What’s the best thing about the Buffets we mentioned above? That they are All-You-Care-to-Enjoy, of course! But did you know that Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Tree Tavern and The Diamond Horseshoe offer All-You-Care-to-Enjoy meals without the buffet?
These restaurants offer Family-Style service where the food comes directly to your table, and you just request more when wanted. These locations can scratch that “all-you-can-eat” itch with less concern of cross-contamination that you may experience at a buffet.
In fact, before picking any restaurant, you should know that many of them have their Allergy-Friendly menus online! Look out for the “Gluten/Wheat” indicator under the item name, as seen here with a portion of the menu at Liberty Tree Tavern.
Although the full list of options are available on many menus online, sometimes there is a note that says Allergy Menus are available upon request, or that “Guests must speak to a Cast Member about their allergy-friendly request.”
Quick Service Restaurants
Quick Service restaurants — also called Counter Service — do not accept Advance Dining Reservations. At quick service restaurants in Magic Kingdom such as Casey’s Corner, Columbia Harbour House , Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe, and Pinocchio Village Haus, you should request to speak with a Cast Member that is able to guide you through the gluten-free menu items.
You can also ask for a Special Diets-trained Cast Member or Manager — they will help to make sure that your allergy-friendly order is made correctly. You may receive a physical menu noting your options (they normally have these at all Quick Service restaurants in Disney World). But, rest assured, you may always request to speak to a trained individual as well.
Several restaurants including Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in Magic Kingdom are available on Mobile Order (a service that allows you to order food on your phone via the My Disney Experience app), and you can browse the options there.
When you click to order at a restaurant, at many spots, there is an “Allergy-Friendly” icon (as pictured above on the bottom right) that will take you straight to the part of the menu with gluten-free options.
Although the options are listed in Mobile Order, as seen here…
… don’t be afraid to ask a Cast Member if you want to double-check or need clarification on something.
Snack Recommendations
Some of Magic Kingdom’s most popular treats are actually gluten-free! This includes DOLE Whip, which you can get at Aloha Isle in Adventureland, among other spots.
Mickey Bars are also gluten-free! You can find this vanilla ice cream covered in chocolate (and shaped like Mickey Mouse, of course) at various carts around the park.
Just about every ice cream treat is gluten-free in Magic Kingdom as long as you don’t get it in a waffle cone. We recommend heading to the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor and grabbing a bowl of your favorite ice cream — it’s a great way to cool off on a hot Florida day!
We all know the smell when walking down Main Street, U.S.A. — popcorn! This is another snack that is gluten-free, and you can find it at popcorn carts all over the park.
The Main Street Confectionery has flavored popcorn — be sure to ask a Cast Member if those are still gluten-free, depending on the flavors they have.
If you’re looking for more than a snack, many quick-service restaurants have gluten-free meal options! One such restaurant is Pinocchio Village Haus, which offers several pizzas, chicken nuggets, French fries, cookies, and brownies for gluten-free eaters.
We were impressed with the gluten-free chicken nuggets here in the past!

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe serves up Tex-Mex style food, and you can get items like the Nacho Bowls, Rice Bowls, and event the Bacon Cheeseburger gluten-free.
Disney also created a full line of snacks made for guests with dietary restrictions called Snacks With Character. Disney partnered with companies like Enjoy Life and OMG and at Liberty Square Market we’ve seen allergy-friendly baked goods from these manufacturers — be sure to ask if you’re looking for a sweet treat!
There are plenty of gluten-free snacks and meals to choose from in Disney World, including some of the most iconic snacks. If you are ever unsure if an item is gluten-free, just ask! A Cast Member will be happy to help you out. On your next visit to Magic Kingdom, try out some of these gluten-free snacks and let us know what you think!

We were just there last week. My oldest daughter is GF. I have to say, the very strong push to get everyone to order via the mobile app makes speaking to someone at a counter service location much more difficult than it used to be. Table service restaurants were great, and super accommodating. Counter service was much more of a struggle. Allow extra time. And be prepared to patiently explain to three or four cast members who stop you and try to get you to mobile order that you REALLY need to speak to someone at the counter.
I’ve found that all of the Disney restaurants are incredibly accommodating for my son’s allergies – better than 95% of restaurants. We do tend to eat more table service than quick service – Holly’s comment is something I’d agree with.
It is also worth noting that restaurants at Disney Springs are not owned and operated by Disney, and their allergen protocols are much more hit-or-miss. We’ve started to avoid Disney Springs as a result, and instead focus on restaurants in the parks and resorts. I wish Disney would make a concerted effort to standardize a common allergen protocol in Disney Springs to match their incredible service at their wholly owned restaurants.
Although the food is mediocre at best, Planet Hollywood was very accommodating to my daughter with celiac disease. When I asked about GF food, the server explained their options and safety protocol and was very nice about it.
