Let’s step in the gates of the Walt Disney Studios, shall we?
D23 has already announced their Destination D23 event as well as multiple other exclusive events for 2023, but did you know D23 hosts a holiday party every year for members? We headed over to Disney’s Light Up The Season D23 Event to check it out and brought you with us!
Doors at The Walt Disney Studios opened at 4PM and we had lots of fun during this four-hour event. We loved seeing some of our favorite characters like Mickey…
…Minnie…
…Santa Goofy…
…and while we didn’t see Pluto, we did see where he would be greeting guests.
Daisy and Donald rounded out the special guests.
Complimentary cookies, cocoa, and cider were also served. Other food was available for purchase at food trucks and at the commissary — Walt’s Chili was a hit, according to our reporter!
There was also an area to drop off toys for the Toys For Tots event Disney was hosting.
You could head into the Walt Disney Studios archives to see the Bedknobs and Broomsticks exhibit, see some films in the theater, play some games at game booths, or check out the slide and Ferris wheel outside!
There was also live music throughout the night which really helped set a festive tone.
And at the end of the event, everyone was given a complimentary ornament to take home! The front has “D23 The Official Disney Fan Club 2022” in blue with a snow-white bottom…
…while the back has a scene from The Muppet Christmas Carol to celebrate the film’s 30th anniversary!
Are you a D23 member but couldn’t attend the event? Members can still enter to win a new prize pack EVERY DAY this month no matter where they are! You can also grab some Disney ornaments online to decorate your tree and feel the Disney magic this month. As always, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney news!
See what big plans are in the works for Walt’s plane!
