The fall season doesn’t only bring pumpkin flavors and Halloween celebrations — Oktoberfest is happening, too!
You can celebrate this holiday both in Disney Springs and around Disneyland Resort. We tried a (sadly disappointing) Oktoberfest burger in Disneyland a few weeks ago, but can this new Oktoberfest offering set the record straight?
Over at GCH Craftsman Grill at the Grand Californian Hotel, you can grab the Oktoberfest Dog for $13.75. This is a bratwurst sausage in a pretzel bun topped off with beer cheese, mustard, and pickled red cabbage and onions. It also comes with a side of fries!
Overall, we really loved this meal! The cheese melted over the meaty and flavorful bratwurst was our favorite part of this meal because it was the perfect combination. The pretzel bread was delicious, too — it just tasted like a buttery pretzel without the salt.
The pickled red cabbage and onions didn’t do much for us other than add some crunch, but our reporter is not a huge fan of either ingredient. While this was a delicious meal, be sure to grab plenty of napkins because WOW it is messy with all that melted cheese! You may want to use a fork and knife for this one.
We think most people will enjoy this offering unless you don’t like cheese or bratwurst. If that’s the case, there are lots of other offerings we suggest around the resort.
If you’ll be in the park soon, watch out for the higher Genie+ prices, and see if your trip overlaps with when this Star Wars legend will be greeting guests. We’ve also seen new ears in the parks that aren’t online yet, so grab them where you can. As always stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney meal reviews!
This may just be the best Halloween treat in Disneyland!
