Listen, getting dessert is NON-NEGOTIABLE when you’re visiting Disney World.
There are plenty of places to grab a sweet treat, whether you’re in the parks, at a resort, or in Disney Springs. You can try everything from Dole Whip to doughnuts to yummy cakes. But one of the most popular spots to stop is at Gideon’s Bakehouse, and they just announced their monthly cookies for August!
What’s on the menu? For starters, the Orange Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookie remains on the menu through August 14th for the Flavors of Florida event. However, you’ll be able to purchase the Key Lime Pie Cookie throughout the entire month! We tried this cookie when it arrived in Disney Springs last year. It’s a vanilla bean cookie dough infused with Florida key lime juice and covered with chocolate chips and key lime pie crumbs.
Also, the Key Lime Pie Cake will be returning each weekend in August, so make sure to stop by if you would like to try out that flavor! Throughout the month, the Orange Mocha Nitro Cold Brew and the Banana Bread Chocolate Chip Cookie will also be remaining on the menu, so make sure to try those items while you can.
Finally, in honor of the key lime flavors returning, you can check out new merchandise at Gideon’s Bakehouse and online! Captain Cagliostro is a new character that the bakehouse has created to celebrate this occasion, and you can buy a new print and t-shirt with his likeness, as well as the Key Lime Pie Candle.
We’ll make sure to keep you updated on any more desserts coming to Gideon’s Bakehouse, or any other Disney World restaurant. We’ve tried a LOT of sweets in the parks over the years, and Gideon’s has definitely ranked among our favorites.
Keep in mind that if you’re visiting this store in Disney Springs, you may have to put your name in a virtual queue. Gideon’s Bakehouse is incredibly popular, so we recommend heading there FIRST to get your name on the list before you explore the rest of Disney Springs. Once you receive the text telling you to return, you can head back and choose your desserts!
