It’s officially springtime in Disney World and that means Spring Break crowds!
Not only that, but we’re still in the midst of the 2022 Flower & Garden Festival, which tends to draw crowds due to the mouth-watering food options and the absolutely gorgeous floral topiary displays. We braved the crowds and took a stroll throughout EPCOT recently to check out everything new there was to see and do — let’s check it out!
EPCOT Food Updates
Sommerfest
Over in the Germany Pavilion, we stopped by this quick-service spot to try their new Pretzel Bread Pudding. It’s made with pretzels and topped with a caramel-butterscotch and white cream sauce.
We enjoyed this dessert, but we do wish there was an option to add more of the sauce, because this bad boy was DENSE. At $4.79, this was a fun new treat that didn’t break the bank.

Sunshine Seasons
Over in the Land Pavilion, we visited Sunshine Seasons to try the new Pluto Petit Cake. It’s a mango panna cotta layered with vanilla cake and lime & honey jelly.
We cannot say enough good things about this dessert! It was $6.29, and we thought it was the perfect portion size too. The tartness from the lime and sweet honey made such a nice pairing; this was a truly refreshing dessert. Note that this was likely a left over treat from an event. So you may not see it when you visit.

EPCOT Construction Updates

We got a good look at the progress on the entrance to this ride during a ride on the EPCOT monorail this week!
Crews have been working on adding weathering details to the Nova Corps Starblaster and getting the queue markers all ready to go!
We can’t wait to ride this attraction — it’s scheduled to open during summer 2022.

The monorail did us a solid yet again and granted us a prime view of the construction taking place for this new attraction.
