The 2022 Flower and Garden Festival is in full swing in EPCOT, and there are some incredible eats this year.
In addition to all the new food booths, entertainment, and merchandise at the festival, we found a sweet and colorful surprise inspired by Encanto, so come along with us on a little walk through a special garden!
If you’re in the mood for Arepas, you’ve probably made a beeline for the La Isla Fresca booth in EPCOT, and located nearby is a little surprise for Encanto fans! Isabela would be proud.
If you guessed it had something to do with flowers, you’re right! You can visit Vibrante & Verde: An Encanto Garden, located between the Morocco and France pavilions in EPCOT! Here you can take a look at a tropical garden inspired by members of the Madrigal family.
Topiario de Mariposa means “butterfly topiary,” and Encanto fans may recall that the butterfly is a prominent symbol in the film, especially for Mirabel and Abuela.
Arcoiris de Flores, which translates to “rainbow of flowers,” features Pepa, whose mood affects the weather. In much of Encanto, Pepa has a rain cloud over her head, but here she’s created a rainbow!
Pepa’s rainbow is filled with colorful flowers, with the Mirabel-inspired butterfly topiary nearby.
Camino de la Selva translates to “jungle road” in English, which is a nod to Antonio’s magical ability to speak to animals. Did you know that Colombia’s foliage helps provide shade to animals who live there?
Of course, Isabela, whose gift allows her to grow flowers, inspired the area of Succulents and Cactus!
It’s not a hurricane of jacarandas, but some spiky cacti that are neither symmetrical nor perfect, yet beautiful nonetheless. They grow even in the toughest of conditions!
And finally, Trinitarias, which also means bougainvillea, is a native South American plant with long vines. Like Casita, this kind of plant needs care, and once it’s thriving, it can add color everywhere it grows.
You can find the Vibrante & Verde: An Encanto Garden in EPCOT between the Morocco and France pavilions, near the La Isla Fresca booth. Grab an Arepas topped with melted queso fresco and take a stroll around the garden! And stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news!
