When you hear the word “luxury,” you probably don’t think about theme parks and family tourist destinations, but the truth is, you can experience some serious opulence and elegance in Disney World (as long as you’re willing to spend some serious cash). In fact, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa was recently ranked as one of the BEST hotels in Orlando!

This is a beautiful resort!
As much as we love the Grand Floridian Resort, it was time for a little update. Recently, Disney started construction at one of Disney’s most popular Deluxe hotels, with plans to add 200 NEW DVC rooms to the resort. We’ve been keeping our eyes out for updates, and now we’ve got an important update to share about the new rooms coming to the Grand Floridian Resort.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is getting some brand new DVC Resort Studio rooms, which will be located in the Big Pine Key building of the hotel. The stunning new rooms will be inspired by the movie Mary Poppins Returns.

We previewed the rooms earlier this month!
Construction on these studios started on March 1st, and it seems like progress is already coming along!

Goodbye, old furniture!
Now, let’s talk timelines. The pre-sale to purchase a new Resort Studio room opened on March 3rd for DVC members, and guests who are not DVC members can book these rooms beginning March 31st. Starting today, March 14th, Disney Vacation Club owners can book one of the new rooms for a check-in date starting in late June.

New Resort Studios
According to a Cast Member, DVC members can call the Disney Vacation Club Member Services hotline now to book a stay as early as June 20th, 2022, though the Disney Vacation Club website does not have an opening date posted yet. We’ll keep our eyes out for an update, though!

Is anyone else seriously excited about these gorgeous new rooms? We’ll continue to look out for more construction updates, so stay tuned for more information!
