We’ve had a LOT of cupcakes in Disney World, but just like none of Elsa’s snowflakes are exactly the same, no two cupcakes are ever alike. It keeps things interesting — that’s for sure! Apparently, Disney decided to go ALL out for the month of March, because we’re seeing new treats all over the place in Disney World.

It’s the happiest cruise that ever sailed!
In between all our recent Flower & Garden Festival coverage, we had to pop over to the Friar’s Nook in the Magic Kingdom to try some new desserts!
To kick off Women’s History Month, we tried the new “it’s a small world” Cupcake for $5.79. If you’re wondering what the connection is between “it’s a small world” and Women’s History, the ride was designed by artist Mary Blair! It’s made with blue funfetti cake, blue raspberry buttercream, and vanilla lemon buttercream. Oh, and the little clock face is edible, too!

One thing’s for sure, this is a SUPER photogenic treat. We bought it at the Friar’s Nook quick service location, then took it all over Fantasyland for a little photo shoot. Look how pretty! 🥺

This is so cute!
Okay, okay, enough about that. It’s what’s inside (our mouth) that counts! Truthfully, this was one of the boldest flavor combinations we’ve ever had. You might not think much of it, but it turns out that blue raspberry + lemon = some strong flavors. They were very generous with the icing, though; it’s piled high on our cupcake!

Look at all that ICING!
When we cut the cupcake open, we were met with a total surprise. Disney hid some iridescent sprinkles inside the cupcake! Fair warning: between all that icing and the sprinkle surprise, this treat is a little messy! We thought that the flavor combination was a little odd, but if you like fruity blue raspberry candy, you might enjoy this cupcake.

Now THAT was a surprise!
We’re trying ALL the new treats in Disney World, so be sure to stay tuned for more!
